Classroom Educator Level
This course covers the Orton Gillingham Academy's (OGA ) curriculum for the Classroom Educator Level (38 hours) for individuals in a school setting. The course introduces individuals to the principles of the Orton Gillingham (OG) approach and provides the knowledge base to deliver OG in the classroom or in small groups. A practicum, required for OGA membership, is available after coursework is completed and for an additional fee.
The course includes a large supply of materials to get you started such as: Training Manual, Phonics book, Beginning Morphology, Spelling, Syllables, and phonogram and morpheme cards.
Prerequisite: Bachelor’s Degree required for certification

Associate Level
This course covers the OGA curriculum for Associate Level (70 hours) for teachers, tutors, or parents. It will be taught in 2 sessions: June 22-26 and July 13-17, 2026. For each course there will be additional hours of asynchronous (independent) work.
This course introduces individuals to the principles of the Orton Gillingham approach, and follows provides the knowledge base for individuals to deliver OG lessons either in small groups or one-on-one. A practicum, required for OGA membership, is available after coursework is completed and for an additional fee.
The course includes a large supply of materials to get you started such as: Training Manual, Phonics book, Advanced Morphology, Grammar, Writing, and morpheme cards.
