Orton Gillingham OG Coaching

You’ve Taken OG Training—Now What?

OG training is just the beginning—and expert coaching makes all the difference.  Here are examples of when OG coaching can help:

You’ve Taken OG Training, But Feel Overwhelmed and

Don’t Know Where to Start.
You’re not alone. I’ve completed many OG trainings myself and remember how overwhelming those first steps can feel. I can help you break things down into clear, manageable steps so you know exactly what to do next.

You Didn’t Want to Commit to a Practicum, But Still Need Guidance and Someone to Answer Your OG Questions.
A practicum isn’t the right fit for everyone—and that’s okay. I’m here to answer your questions and offer guidance based on my training, my experience as a Fellow of the Orton-Gillingham Academy, and my ongoing work with dyslexic students.

You Are Tutoring a Student with Dyslexia, and They Aren’t Making Much Progress.
This can feel really discouraging, but there is hope. OG is the gold standard for supporting students with dyslexia, including those with more significant needs. I can help you take a closer look at foundational skills and apply OG principles in a more targeted, prescriptive way.

You Are Nervous About Teaching an Older Dyslexic Student.
I remember feeling the same way. I specialize in working with older dyslexic students and understand both their academic and emotional needs. I can help you feel prepared and confident as you support them.

You Are a Homeschooling Parent. I Think My Child is Dyslexic, and I Completed OG Training Last Summer. Can I Use OG With My Own Child?
Yes. Like many parents, I used OG with my own children at home. I can show you how to use OG with fidelity while keeping lessons supportive, effective, and engaging.
